I learned something new today when exploring https://zap-work.com/

Apparently I have a NOSTR Trust Score (or it would seem 3 of them) https://profilestr.com/profile/npub1ur5ju4pd0xegu7wxal543ywn3aykxmjg2c9gucvtj5aaa43sm74qcxdx2w

Interestingly while I'm in the top 2% on Vertex I'm only ~66% on ProfileStr and Relatr

So... #asknostr how does one improve their trust score on NOSTR? (other than the obvious of #pow )

I guess my brain is a little thrown that we even have such a thing on NOSTR.

Not saying it's bad...just surprised to have discovered it!

I just had a butchers at mine, not seen that site before but it's interesting. It's got the day I joined nostr, the note count sounds about right, just over 6k, but yeah, I'm wondering how those trust scores are calculated.

If you scroll down there are tabs for each score type.

Each explains in tech terms how they work and one or two of them gives more details as to what composite data is used

Cheers, took a bit longer to look closer and found it. Still doesn't entirely make sense to me but it's a reasonable score so I'm not complaining 😂

Exactly. Need more of a “checklist” to see the weight specific actions affect the score.

And of course I’m sure frequency and duration play a part (or at least should).

Either way, nothing i’m going to spend time trying to game I just found it was interesting and didn’t even know it existed

i think having a completed profile increases score

Ahh

Maybe Im missing banner image. I know I have my LN listed and use a NIP05

I was digging a bit deeper and each of the scores explain what they compute.

Also at least one (if I recall) gave a graph of each composite item.

Most of it was above my pay grade and not something I’m interested in gaming per se.

Just be human! That carries the furthest in my experience

In the case of Relatr, anyone can run an instance, and each instance represents a different point of view because they are configured with a source pubkey and a set of validations. You could run your own Relatr instance and set yourself as the source for the computations, and you'll have a tailored algorithm outputting ranks from your perspective

Here’s where I almost want to go before nodes.

I want to be more energy sovereign.

We get plenty of Sunshine where we live.

I envision a “mini backyard solar panel” (small…like one might even find on yard light…probably needs to be bigger but I don’t want big enough to to get a permit or it to be permanent)

So like a “portable solar system on a tripod/pole”

That ultimately powers a Bitcoin node and NOSTR node…not sure if a raspberry pi is powerful enough or not

Probably need a battery to power overnight.

But yea like a portable sovereign node run on free energy.
