Husband's cleaning the carb on our little champion generator. Picked up some dirty fuel and this thing is not made to be worked on. They also didn't put a fuel filter on it so the dirty fuel goes right into the carb and clogs it.

He's not very happy with this generator, had to take it apart and work on it a few times now. We're going to be upgrading soon and this one will become the portable one for working on building projects around our 40 acres.

Honda or yahmaha fixes this :)

Just my experience, from dealing with cheaper generators. I always run them dry for storage too.

Very true, but they aren't in the budget just yet. And we have better ones but they're in our storage unit about 1,000 miles away from our property. We're planning on going and getting that stuff after summer during his slow time from his electrical business we're trying to establish.
