Exceptional! Operationally valid for iOS 16 & even for 'supported & obsolete' versions (perhaps not all).. Just download the necessary languages in the dictionary for any translations... And this even offline.. 
I think it's very helpful that the translation doesn't happen automatically but only when needed.
Thats already a setting in damus. You can disable auto translate
Unfortunately, the “on demand” translation hasn't been available to me for a long time, even though I would like to personally select which note to translate at the touch of a button.
