I could believe this.

I tend to think of Satoru Iwata (Nintendo) as the most likely candidate for who Satoshi would be. Your theory also kinda fits with him learning about central banking by running an international business, learning about P2P networks by Nintendo fighting piracy, etc 🤙

Pure speculation for fun though - trying to guess who Satoshi really was is like buying a lottery ticket, but it costs a guess and the win is being whoever guessed right instead of it being about money

I had to read up on him. He sounds like a sympathetic character. according to Wikipedia he was a prolific programmer in addition to being an executive. Nintendo definitely had a lot of my brain share as a kid. I like the theory.

2 more things I always like to mention about it -

* The Nintendo 64 was released in his time at Nintendo and it's a full-fledged Linux-capable computer with no backdoors that could potentially have been useful for Japanese military purposes

* Animal Crossing was released in his time at Nintendo and its "Nook item code" system is basically like an offline crypto transaction https://animalcrossing.fandom.com/wiki/Item_codes_(GCN)
