much easier to fake being a victim than to fake being successful.

proof of work > wokeness

don’t allow the state to lull you into its pervasive centralized prison of surveillance, obedience, and the illusion of comfort & safety & riskfree flattened equality of outcomes.

work hard, earn sats, take risks, curate a circle of people whose ambitions outpace their abilities, who can acknowledge their shortcomings and strive always to better themselves. Onward 🫡

What does that even mean?

no one knows, but it’s provocative

Imagine you’re playing a game with your friends. Some people might pretend to be hurt or upset so they can get attention or sympathy from others. That’s like faking being a victim. It’s much harder to pretend to be really good at something or successful, like being the best at a game (or a millionaire).

mcshane is saying that it’s more important to actually *work hard* and achieve things in real life than just talk about being aware of social issues (that’s what “wokeness” means). Real accomplishments matter more than just having “good” ideas or beliefs.

He warns against letting the government control and watch over everything we do, like always keeping an eye on us. We shouldn’t be tricked into thinking that it’s better to have everything the same for everyone, because that can take away our freedom and stop us from growing.

Work hard, earn sats, take chances, and surround ourselves with people who want to get better and achieve more. Always keep moving forward, trying to improve ourselves.

People who constantly play the victim are beyond frustrating

i think we all succumb to it now and then

important to step back & step up
