I want the internet of 2005-2007 back
Discussion
I was 6 years old in 2005.
Man, it was great. People had cell phones, but they were limited on minutes and texting wasn't really a thing since the keypads were so annoying to type on and each message cost like 10-25 cents, so people mostly just used cell phones for coordinating getting together. They still had them for emergencies, though.
I don’t see how that’s better.
People actually talked to each other in person. "Cyberbullying" was virtually nonexistent.
People were happy they could talk to the people they loved...They weren't lonely people looking for friends, but connected people who had just discovered an even better way to stay connected (or so they thought).
I talk to ppl irl, more than I’d like actually.
You should be thankful for the friends you have. I would guess most of the upcoming generation don't have any, or the ones they do have are fleeting.
Yeah, I got blessed with a group beyond my imagination (my church) but until then I knew 0 people
