I couldn't agree more. GrapheneOS has that for the PIN unlock, should be default.
In Asia I have seen some card payememt terminal with PIN on a touch screen that does the same, it will annoy people who memorize the pattern/movememts on keypad but if we all get used to it, security will increase for all.
