i mine using DATUM to nostr:nprofile1qqsq9k04vahllseell55m74n3047y88pzlr0z5yany32st29fapqmgsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgawaehxw309ahx7um5wghxy6t5vdhkjmn9wgh8xmmrd9skctc87ckyu via my own node on nostr:nprofile1qqs9df4h2deu3aae83fmet5xmrlm4w5l9gdnsy3q2n7dklem7ezmwfcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz3rhwvaz7tekd3jks6rev3ehyargv9nk66tnxe6h2dn5w43kuerk0fmnwcm4vfc8z6mgweu8j7fhdfhkjmmrxs6k66mnwg6x2cty9ehku6t0dchsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxjmnxduhs5nd6j2 . but, its cool that DATUM allows you to solo mine using your own node too, and when you solo mine you can pick both the pool and secondary tags that will appear on the mined block.

while the practical part of me knows dripping sats into my lightning node is probably smarter, there is a part of me that wants the immortal glory of mining a block with my own node, own miners and stamping it with my own tags. its hard to ignore 😎

Nice! ⚡️🌊 I’m running a pair of S9s as heaters and plan to switch from Braiins over to nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze as well. I installed DATUM on my nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll, and I’m getting ready to switch from Core over to Knots. Do you know if there is any downside to Knots vs Core when it comes to using it with other services/programs like electrs, LND, Mempool, or Sparrow? I may need to just ask nostr:npub1wnlu28xrq9gv77dkevck6ws4euej4v568rlvn66gf2c428tdrptqq3n3wr.

Been running Knots with DATUM, Alby Hub, LND, CLN, Electrs, and other services without issue for a few months now.

Should be pretty quick. Backup your Start9 > install Knots > profit.

Knots won't need to redownload the chain or anything. It will just replace Core when you install it.

Sweet. Do you know if sometime in the future I want to switch back to Core for any reason, is that an easy swap back, or will it take a complete redownload of the entire chain?

Just as likely to get the secondary tag still while getting payouts trickle in from Ocean. I'd just do that. Still looks badass on the timechain.
