Raw chicken?
Very bad idea
My dog has been eating raw meat for years now. Not sure about cats, but dogs definitely can eat raw meat.
awesome π yes, it's even more important for cats since they are obligate carnivores and that's where the bulk of their hydration comes from.
Makes sense. My dog doesn't drink much water since most of his hydration comes from his food. He will occasionally, but his food covers most of his water needs.
It's amazing how raw meat made his skin much nicer (not sure how else to describe it but I'm sure you get what I mean) within a couple months of switching his diet from kibble + wet food to raw.
They can. And they can also get sick from it. Especially chicken
Do cats die when they catch and eat wild birds? Why is this bad?
It's many times contaminated with E coli and Campylobacter
I would be concerned about that for industrial chicken crammed into a building. In these cases they medicate the feed so less die and in some cases have to scoop the dead out with a tractor.
I imagine a chicken raised on pasture and moved often would not have too much of either of those
I think they would have as well
