Cake uses Electrum which basically doxxes your addresses to the server operator.

ZEUS uses Neutrino, which takes longer to sync, but is privacy preserving. More details here: https://docs.zeusln.app/for-users/embedded-node/faq/#where-can-i-read-more-about-neutrino-and-the-privacy-that-block-filters-provide-when-syncing-zeus-to-the-blockchain

Yup! nostr:nprofile1qqsyrhshwxsrrz3anwd0nlc6ps78hyrgvl9x6njagv6630ukpvwnyscpy9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumtfdej8xtnrdakj7mn0wd68ytmkxyhhwucpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezummcw3ezuer9wchs6l02sz do you run your own electrum server? That's how to get the best of both worlds.

not yet.

another rabbit hole, thx. ;)

How about fulcrum?

Same deal. If you don’t run your own instance, you’re doxxing your addresses and balances to the operator.

Fulcrum is an electrum server interpretation.

This is great! Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed Elle Mouton's explainer too.
