So I have decided something. If I ever decide to create a development dream team after receiving a buttload of funding for an open source project I created. You are the first person I would want on my team.
Pure fantasy talk here, but after reading your posts for awhile. Me and you are very much on the same level of thinking with FOSS. Very rarely do you ever post something development related that I would ever disagree with.
i'm getting to be a grumpy old fart with this programming stuff these days, almost wish i could just unplug from the internet while doing my work, because of how loony the whole scene is, and if you think that what the nostr dev clowns are doing is bad, holeeee shit you should see what shitcoin devs are doing, completely off the charts, here be dragons shit
probably part of my grumpiness is i work for a company that i am perceived as the least interesting, compared to the front end javascript wranglers, and the smart contract scripters, yet my code does way more sophisticated shit than anything anyone else does, and they all literally think that AI can replace programmers
not me
these AIs can replace shitcoin smart contract devs and front end devs tho
when the hammer comes down i'm the one that made the smart move
and anyway, for me, dammit, i can WRITE the browser GUI code that paints the pixels and processes the input, and i know i can because i wrote custom widgets for a GUI library back in 2018 that took the devs of that library another 4 years to finally figure out even though i pointed them at my code and said "here, this gives you a scrollbar" lol
I feel your pain getting into the grumpy old fart stage in life. Especially with development and dumbasses ready to ditch experienced developers for ai.
Just keep on being awesome. At least I know you are right, they are dumbasses, and all these youngsters need to stay the fuck off of my front lawn.
