If you are using #carnivore as a form of ketosis to solve for metabolic syndrome then bacon is a great source of fat that pairs well with eggs and never gets old. Go with pastured, no uncured, no sugar, and organic feed if you can. A good grocery might be an acceptable place to procure.

For folks using #carnivore as a reset to resolve autoimmune, pork & chicken can be problematic. Start out with ruminants until autoimmune subsides, then slowly add seafood, pork, and poultry while monitoring for symptoms. Be extremely careful with sourcing. Avoid corn and soy feed. Stick with regenrative + pastured.

I did it for 3 months.. it's true that it works for weight loss and energy.. however it's hard to maintain in the long term.. my brother did it for 4 years and also stopped

I think carnivore is a great starting place, but I'd recommend folks 'graduate' to #AnimalBased once their health issues are resolved.

Having daily carbohydrates from honey, maple syrup, raw milk, and fruit is important; our bodies weren't meant to stay in ketosis indefinetely.

Ancestrally speaking, the hypoallergenic carbs listed above were available seasonally and no doubt everyone cheered their procurement.

The real insight of carnivore is that plants don't want ro be eaten and have spent hundreds of millions of years developing chemical deterrents that present as inflammation and insulin resistance in modern populations.

Hmm not sure exactly where I fit in here. I'm a healthy normal guy just wondering why everyone talks about steak or chicken all the time and where bacon fits into it, if at all.
