โšก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท ๐Ÿšฎ While the United States and China are competing in the field of AI, France is innovating in its own way:

๐Ÿคก Several municipalities in France are charging citizens for waste disposal. Each resident is assigned a badge, and all waste they throw away throughout the year is tracked and weighed. The badge is linked to the individual's tax notice. To open the trash bin, residents must scan their badge, after which the machine weights the waste and adds a count of +1. At the end of the year, a bill will be sent to the residents. #Nostrfr

Not just FR. it's nuts. They already charge on certain utility bills for the exact same service as a tax, yet that won't disappear.

Wow, really in innovative

Say it with me-

๐Ÿ‘ governments ๐Ÿ‘ need ๐Ÿ‘ to ๐Ÿ‘ focus ๐Ÿ‘ on ๐Ÿ‘ creating ๐Ÿ‘ revenue ๐Ÿ‘ rather ๐Ÿ‘ than ๐Ÿ‘ extracting ๐Ÿ‘ value ๐Ÿ‘ from ๐Ÿ‘ their ๐Ÿ‘ citizens ๐Ÿ‘

Or they can just shit in the Seine ๐Ÿ’ฉ

And the taxes they pay for waste disposal... those are going away... right? Right? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Another take: In theory, dynamic pricing so you only pay for what you use (throw away) isnโ€™t the worst idea. The implementation is shit, but pay to play is legit. Like a toll-road for trash?

Instead of a sales tax?

I see is a lot of cheating

And trash littering

#haiku

Trash disposal is already payed by the city taxes.

So now, they pay for a service which is already been payed by taxes.

Okay France.. keep up now!
