We're onto something so big here.

Why rely on YouTube, AdMob, Adsense etc advertising income when users will just zap you directly when your content is good?

We are seeing a tiny seedling sprouting.

#[0] made a great long post yesterday and the zap count reflects that. Now he'll probably dedicate more time to making long form Nostr posts for us to enjoy.

#[1] gets tons of zaps each new release of Amethyst. Now he has more incentives to maintain the project and release new features frequently.

And there are so few of us here...

What happens when there are millions? Hundreds of millions?

The one thing I don’t understand about nip57 is the loss of privacy. Why am I forced to reveal my identity for zapping a note?

Waiting for someone to make a paid video host relay that does all the proper encoding and resizing and captions and such. Pay a few sats to upload a video.

Nostrgram will of course add a video filter if there isn't one already.

Can someone make one of those death at the door memes? YouTube rekt.

If it works out, it's great. I think there's a certain kind of enthusiasm about nostr right now that I'm not sure will stay for months or years to come. But let's hope I'm wrong.
