This is the hardest-hitting part of Catholic Mass for me. It’s hard not to feel His presence when reciting it. nostr:note1amawpayfjtqh2s2crjag8eavz7r55g3fk3s96t7mee95jgfr23ys8cu3jm

Yes it’s SO beautiful, isn’t it-💖

yes, this part always hit me when I was Anglican. (most of it was there, but they used a shortened version)

What about the actual consecration?

I’m what you might call a shunned apostate. It felt more like going to sleep and never waking up. I unfairly held/hold men of faith to the impossible standard of being like Christ… without fault. My father failed me and so God failed me. Yet God cannot fail.

I saw that man is weak to their own compulsions. So how did they write what is written? I dove into the origin of the KJV bible, and then the Greek and Hebrew.

It is by faith that you are saved, so what do you do when all your faith is gone?

Thanks for sharing this. If there is any hope for me left, it will be the result of people like you. God’s disciples.

did you dive into the origin of the Church before it had a Bible?

Like before the gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, etc. ?

before any of that was written, what was their final authority?

I’m not trying to be a clown, how far back are we talking? I want to answer what you are asking.

The angel that spoke to Mary?

God speaking to Moses?

God and Adam?

I'm just talking about the early church. they didn't have Jesus around or their own scriptures, so how did they govern themselves?

Kind of a long answer for that one.

In short…

God direct>prophets>followers

Maybe a good topic for Cornychat Bible study
