Cell phone hardware manufacturing is super hard.

Basically never a good idea unless you found an edge somewhere.

OnePlus is a great example - they can compete by making specs work 2 years before Google, 3-4 years before Apple.

Performance & Security are paramount in today's landscape if you want to have staying power which is important for the longevity of a project.

Relying on Google Pixel isn't ideal, but I'm thankful we have it available to flash Graphene & Calyx.
