I can't find my notes right now. There's some connection between the people who've commissioned some of his works and the Bank of England, if I'm not mistaken. I've read some of his books a few years ago. If it's important, it will come back to me.
Oh I see a reference to his book of compound interest tables and present value calculations (1582) was previously unpublished by bankers. Consistent with theme that elite kept knowledge away from masses in order to exploit advantage. Huh, sure am glad don't have to worry about that in these modern open information times 😅
