I usually do strawberry jam instead of the hazelnut. But kiddo wanted something else

That was definitely a good idea ☺️

We are strawberry snobs In this house, if they aren’t local the kids don’t touch them. So I rarely eat them as a pint is 6.99 its a treat for me.

The fact that we think of $6.99 as less expensive than $7 shows how psychologically conditioned we’ve become.

Normalize round numbers.

This is the world we live in:

For strawberries it's the price per pint, otherwise, I go price /100g I have seen sales on smaller amounts that still don’t rival the family-sized value.

The problem is they go bad quickly. So whatever we don’t eat in the first 2-3 days we need to freeze for smoothies or they’ll start rotting.

It's the shipping time, the Mexican or Cali strawberries do that here, I get 5days from the local greenhouse grown

I would rather call you connoisseurs 🫶🏼 I also try to buy mainly locally (for berries in any case), for some things I make an exception

mmm very good
