There was a time in the past when a starting out company with a good idea needed money to get going and an investor could put his money into that company to help out. In return, that company would pay dividends, or thru its growth the shares you own in that company would appreciate in value. Now, thru leverage trading, derivatives etc. stocks trading at 50x forward earnings, it’s a big gambling hall, fixed game mess. Feels like a cigar smoke filled cock fight with cash being passed between shady dark figures in ally ways.
