Ahaha gotchya. Was it perhaps to test changing the timestamp? In the past I recall someone got their note to live at the top of everyone’s feed for a day or two, by setting a time setting (metadata? Idk) to be further into the future than the date/time that it currently was.
Would love to know how to do that one lol, but I’m sure it could be easily abused for marketing and advertising purposes.
You could use a "created_at" UNIX timestamp in the past, yes, although most clients won't let you. Have to do it from command line or the event publisher.
I used the event publisher to have the start/end dates set to the past, so that this event is listed on the correct day. Just wanted to try it out, as we were trying to see what this calendar event event (unfortunate naming 😅 ) even does.
Ohh interesting, so was your initial note - the one that said it was nice meeting everyone - a “calendar event” event, rather than a Kind1 note? Viewed in Damus it just looks like a regular post 🤔
It was a reply I made to a calendar event. Can get around the calendar event to being visible by simply replying to it with a link to it. Then everyone can click on that.
The term "nevent" is useful at times like this I feel
