Ooh. My guess is (if this is possible) someone “logged in” with your npub?
Like if you log in with my npub and no nsec, you can’t read the DMs but it says “failed to decrypt content” on all of them…
Wonder if there’s a way to send using the same approach?

Interesting! So some sort of spam that exploits a weakness in the client and sends DM on their behalf. Each cleans MUST verify that DM is signed by the sender, and they don’t and you get to see what I didn’t send as messages from me! 🐶🐾🫡

I’ve had weird issues with this where I can see the DM, then browse away somewhere else in Damus and return and get this message even on my own messages I’ve sent

When someone zaps your DM (they can) from Amethyst it breaks it. Likes also do that! 🐶🐾🫡

I think I had a DM zapped once after helping someone with an issue. I don’t remember if I got the failed to decrypt error but I was surprised when I got the zap. I guess if you are using a client that supports it then you don’t really think about the way other clients deal with it.
I always zap the DM that tells me they found/followed me from #grownostr.... Who you calling a psychopath? 😂
