Last night I was charging a phone with a Mophie charger and noticed some smoke coming from where the USB cable connected 😳...I could also smell smoke and immediately unplugged it. It's an old Pixel.

I put the phone in a metal bowl and went to sleep.

This morning, Phone was still in one piece so I'm charging it with a power cord in the wall.

Any thoughts on this?

Was it the charger?

Is the phone safe to use?
