Amethyst is the most cucked client (don't need to tell YOU specifically that lol) and two months ago it looked like every new client being made would follow in Vitor's footsteps with things like blocklists and "spam filters."
After Rabble got lots of heat at Nostrica, I'm presuming all that immediately got scrapped (except on Amethyst, of course).

They're connected so no reason not to just shitpost into nostr from fedi. The advantage is for people who aren't already running an instance and don't want to go through the rigmarole of setting up and maintaining an instance.
Alex has even built in the microtransactions so that he can get zapped on rebased and I imagine that could be developed into akkoma etc as well.
Yeah I know. I use amethyst cos it works best. P shit really. But I'm sort of the opinion that nostr will be abandoned anyway so part of me is a bit fuck it, about it. I will happily jump ship when something works as well as amethyst. Plebstr doesn't even let you upload photos (does it?? Maybe I eed to update or stop being so thicc 💅)
GIF's only for now, I just use Pic8/Infinity for image uploading and use either Iris or Snort to post videos.

Yeah snort is a good all rounder. I think primal once it has image upload will probably be my choice tho.
Why do you think nostr will be abandoned?
I'm not basing this on stats or logic. Just a gut feeling and BlueSky capturing all the attention which was dispersed around other twitter alternatives. Although some people have pointed to stats on nostr band. I haven't looked closely enough. I also think it will be revived after abandonment tho. Also based on nothing lol. I'll try to stick around for all of it lolol. I saw it in a dream.

Thanks for elaborating. I don't know a single normal person who knows about either bluesky or nostr. Last social app people I knew made new accounts for was bereal, but no one abandoned twitter or whatever for that
There is a little bit of BlueSky chat amongst people I know. Not much interest, but some inkling of something happening. Nostr is completely off the radar. If I said 'nostr' out loud people would just think I was choking on something.
Damus has more name recognition among normies than nostr
I’m surprised more tech ppl aren’t using nostr, but the soydev censorship issue is also a problem. It’s still p new tho and the clients aren’t great but hopefully soapbox working with nostr will fix that issue at least.
