Interestingly, all verification is irrelevant unless you don't wish to be anonymous and you verify yourself.

A bluecheck mark on Xitter means you're paying $10 a month to help Elons finances.

A NOSTR verification on a public server means you've paid a few sats to create a nostr.json file on their server with your npub on it.

If you want to truly verify who you are as a real human, you need to create this on your own website under your own domain.

Seriously though, my verified mike@mikehardcastle.com has far more weight and value than any government issued driving license or passport.

The nip 05 allows the npub in a nice format and also includes a relays list where your meta and other stuff are stored.
