What if we did reverse outbox model? Instead of trying to connect to at least two relay per contact you would show the relays that your contacts post to and browse those relays individually.

It would only be a subset of your contacts but it would be much easier to implement and would give you multiple different feeds

great idea imo, browsing each relays' feed could show you which of your contacts poast to that relay. outbox is great in theory but in practice awfully slow and annoying to implement. keys and relays are nostr, let's not try to hide that fact.

I'm suggesting we take the best of both. I like browsing relays but only a select few, the rest are full of spam.

But there is no reason the outbox model needs to show a user a single feed. instead the user can have multiple feeds grouped around the relays their friends publish to. I think it would also make it easier to find fringe relays that nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 or other crazy people publish to
