I did use an AI tool which turned my doodles into actual drawings which was cool. But also not that impressive. Today I searched how many professional teams have “00” and “0” retired and it was just a bunch of article results. A true AI would be able to scour every database to find this answer.
AI rendering art is the best we got right now in terms of any "thinking" being involved, and I mean that in a conceptual way at most haha. That's cool though, good find. Yup, I just went to Gemini for the hell of it and asked your question multiple times in more refined ways as I went and it kept spewing stuff about it can't narrow something like that down and the NBA retired the number 6 after Bill Russell yada yada.
I got that same answer! But it’s reading “data” that other people have posted online. Can AI not access hard data? Or worse, not make inferences from data?
You would think that wouldn't be that difficult to just analyze the topic, consolidate it, refer to your data pool, form a short paragraph and send it haha idk I'm sure there's models out there that can come close to it but they are probably proprietary and costly. I help the guys at GriffinAI and their models are getting really really good. I want a private AI that handles my taxes for me hahaa
Right. Basically replace my job analyzing data and telling people what that means. Once AI does that I’ll be a worshipper but I have a feeling this isn’t the wave.
Yeah, I think they're holding back on releasing any commercial models that can do that for that very reason. You know how it is. The people are the last to get any tools of trade because the big boys gotta make their bucks first and dwindle it down a bit for the little guy. I think we're going to hop off the AI train and get on the quantum one in the next 5 years anyway, then you'll be impressed haha.
I feel like if they could replace my salary with an AI tool they would in a heartbeat and that’s currently not happening.
That's a good point...real good point. Hmmm, 🤔 I do custom body and and paint work on construction cranes, which I can do cars as well so I don't think AI has a place in my domain besides maybe helping me do color matching and ratios for mixing.
AI is just a rebrand of the "I'm feeling lucky" button.
