Thinking of jumping over to GrapheneOS. Anyone here made the leap and like it from a privacy and functional standpoint?
Discussion
There is a guy representing graphene on here somewhere and some other avid tinkerers.... Hmmm search on nostr.band for GrapheneOS
nostr:npub1gd3h5vg6zhcuy5a46crh32m4gjkx8xugu95wwgj2jqx55sfgxxpst7cn8c is who you may be thinking about?
Yea wasn’t sure if guides/urls existed already etc other than install and couldn’t just drop everything and help a bro at the time 🤙

The Nostr community is awesome. Gave a follow. Just reading about GrapheneOS and wanting to deGoogle my life. I suppose the banking apps can work in the sandbox hopefully.
Yeah banking apps are a crapshoot but the best source is:

I have been super happy with the switch. The biggest benefit is the better battery life when nothing is constantly reporting on you. I have not used the google play store at all & have installed everything via Aurora or Fdroid. I was already using social media in the browser, but Amethyst is so great that I use Nostr almost exclusively. Still have some need for facebook market place tho.
The built in autocorrect & spellcheck was a total dumpster fire, & editing was almost impossible. Turning it off solves the problem, no big deal when most apps have spellcheck anyway. Results in quite a few left out letters or misspellings on Nostr unfortunately.
The only other drawback is image & media management. Android will change where stuff is being saved & create new folders seemingly at random. No idea what to do about that at the moment. It's not imposssible to navigate, but it can be annoying. I leave the file system folder on my main screen because it is needed from time to time.
