Does the situation change now that supposedly other stores are available on iOS? Or do they all require kyc?
I abandoned the idea of touching iOS since I were never able to find a non-KYC way to develop for it

No idea I didn't investigate it enough.
But I found out that implementing apps for OSx requires KYC even for local compilation, so I guess their preferences are pretty clear
