You need people that can't be bought in positions of power. Since morals went out the window over the last 30 years...
I'll take those that are already financially independent. Then again... We could end up with Bill Gates as director of FDA according to that logic.

Obama killed space launch and privatized it.
Our astronauts were launching with Russia... Musk has given us the most advanced space launch vehicles in the world... why wouldn't we prioritize it?
It makes sense if deemed necessary to prioritize it if citizens profit somehow, since it's tax money (really more debt money). But, giving a billionaire more subsidies π€‘
This reminds me of something I heard: "I want to know who's lying to me" vs "I want to be lied to without knowing." Matrix red blue pill I guess.
Only issue is their ability to create smoke and mirrors is on another level. All those layers of greed and money gives them the ability to get away with muder, allegedly...Boeing, OpenAI, or by using the "law."
Funny the word "allegedly" has to be used because many are worried about being sued into dust since they have the money to keep that in court until one is bankrupt.
