It is a terrible MOE because every transaction can be traced till eternity. A good MOE has fungibility and privacy.

Sadly not, Non custodial Lightning has a terrible UX, so everybody uses custodial lightning wallets - a trusted third party.
There’s options to everyone. You want privacy and self custody? Take the hard path. You want convenience? Take the easy path 🤷🏼♂️
So, non technical people do not deserve privacy?
Convince over self custody. Not over privacy. Lighting is private even if custodial
Sorry, this is wrong. The custodial wallet provider knows all your lightning transactions and also your on chain funding address (and its transaction history), if you fund the wallet with an on chain transaction.
