The "all women should be housewives" meme is a reaction against the previous "all women should be career wives" meme.
This just seems like trying to dictate to men how they should arrange their household. Again.

And it leaves unmarried and/or childless women in the dust, which goes against my religious beliefs.
What religious beliefs?
That there are valid vocations other than being a wife and that wives are not just the in-house baby machine.
Just curious because i don't know. Where is that mentioned? What other vocations?
“All people should live the life that they personally consider most fulfilling and enjoyable, if they can” is about as much of a *should* as I’m down with.
I nearly agree. They should avoid doing things to disrupt the lives and freedoms of other people, as best they can, as well.
🎯
Absolutely.
Fits directly with classical/Rawlsian liberalism - the state should only exist insofar as to preserve each imdividual’s rights to live as described above, up to and until the point where one’s doing so impedes another’s ability to live as they wish.
I agree with this, as far as civil/secular law goes, but I have additional religious freedom reasons for feeling indignant about anyone trying to socially pressure families too much, one way or the other.
It could end up undermining traditional marriage, rather than supporting it.
Fair enough. I think of the above as a general guideline - naturally a complex society will require various permutations of that ideal, if it’s going to provide its citizens with the freedom to truly freely live their lives.
being a single mom is an extraordinarily difficult job
there are far more single moms than single dads cuz the dads tend to bail
Unmarried men might be more likely to abandon their children (I don't know if this is still true, but I assume it is), but we shouldn't assume that a lot of women aren't single mothers, intentionally.
(Sometimes because the father was unfit, of course. Life is complicated.)
But this is a post about wives, specifically.
I'm a fan of wives
Don't forget that the legal system favors the mothers, so it isn't a clear picture of men.
Well there is an easy household solution to this... have two wives! One is a stay home mother and the other is a career woman. Best of both worlds! 😛
had me on the first half, ngl, 🐸
jokes aside, seems like the axis problem turns around the question of solitude, and particularly since a whatever determination of having to do something about it, but yet, `that'd be like optional, bruh,' no matter the body and tastes... although yes, it'd be sad if someone who don't want to be alone struggles to find and feel human company, but even in so cases, there might be no miss on keep style and keep trying
