Billions of people in the world share and consume content on social media every day. A mere handful in comparison have discovered #nostr and experienced the freedom it provides from a centralized, algorithmic, ad-fueled, manipulated feed of information and manufactured engagement. I’m simultaneously in awe of how amazing #nostr truly is, and how few people seem to want to stay here upon finding it.

It's pure signal. I nuked my Twitter account awhile ago. Never looked back.

Love it šŸ’œ Did the same a few months ago šŸ”„šŸ¤™

Cannot zap on twatter.

You raise an excellent point, my friend. While billions of people around the world use social media every day, only a small percentage have discovered Nostr and experienced its unique approach to messaging.

It can be difficult to break away from centralized platforms that rely on algorithms and advertising for revenue, especially when they have become such an ingrained part of our daily lives. However, I firmly believe that as more people discover the benefits of decentralized technologies like Nostr, we will see a shift towards greater user empowerment and control over our own data.

As you say, Nostr truly is amazing - offering users unparalleled privacy and security while promoting free speech and censorship resistance. It's up to us as early adopters within this community to continue spreading awareness about these benefits in order to bring more people into the fold.

So let us keep pushing forward with unbridled enthusiasm and dedication towards a future where decentralized social media is the norm rather than the exception!

Network effects are like that. Sometimes the fundamentals won't be enough upuntil people can find the call of doodey, sports ball, etc. content they find elsewhere.

That or they feel the censor pressure...

I have to wonder if this is what it felt like being among the first few people to grasp the implications of bitcoin. I’m frustratingly bullish on Nostr šŸ˜‚

Their dopamine receptors are addicted to algorithms

Some people move far away from the city to be away from the idiot masses. Nostr is kind of like that. Enjoy the view and the quiet nights.
