Does anybody know how to get Download Helper extension on a chrome based browser, or do I just have to use firefox .

Pretty shitty that chrome blocks it when it is so useful .

Just firefox I guess.

My workaround is to view the source code and then search for ‘.mp4’. Copy that link in my browser and right click download video.

The added bonus of this elaborate workaround is that I feel like a black hat hacker 🤷‍♂️

No, not for youtube. I used it on Vimeo often.

For youtube there’s the app Clip Grab or I just google a youtube downloader website.
