Paper sizes make a lot more sense. 8x11'" and all this weird inches and miles are just weird in this age. I think the US is the last major hold out

As for inches and miles:
I’m 61. I remember my dad saying when I was in first or second grade, that by the time I was in fourth grade or so, we would be on the metric system. Obviously a lot easier and makes more sense. But I gotta say, I like that it’s uniquely American. I wouldn’t want to change now. In today’s political climate, I’m not looking to become more European at all. I like our sense of individualism, freedom of speech, and the two way. We seem to have lost her way the last 10 or 20 years BUT, The last two days, IMO, have been fantastic for me and America.
I am, however, old enough to know that politicians continually disappoint and disappoint, and then disappoint some more. But I’ll take what good I can get for now. And again…I’d like to keep our measuring systems just the way they are.
