What is your best advice for getting involved in the Bitcoin space or getting a job in Bitcoin?
Discussion
I’m very interested in the answers
Based off of the job boards I’ve seen, learn to code or learn to start your own company. Nearly impossible to find a job at an existing bitcoin company without being able to write code.
Could you give some examples of those companies
Take a look at https://bitcoinerjobs.com
With few exceptions, you’ll see almost every job is engineer, developer, architect, design engineer, etc.
I agree
I am wondering the same thing
From a no tech low tech boomer I’d say build some skills but I’m sure I can figure out something to do here being an entrepreneur🤔😉
Network!!!
Crypto is a unique industry. It doesn’t have the old boys club where Ivy degrees and country club connections rule.
Whatever your skillset, find people in the industry in the job you want and get on zoom with them. Ask them questions, build relationships, and be willing to get experience even if it’s unpaid.
PM me if you want to talk more!
What about people that do not have coding experience, and is wanting to use their current skill sets while training or learning
that's a very general question
there's not always only coding jobs, often also:
- social media (community) manager positions
- creativity/design positions
further, you can also try and build something for yourself, as a freelancer. show your skills, build something like a portfolio to showcase your skills. network. sell stuff/webshop.

Start by contributing in a Bitcoin-related open source project you are interested in. This can be made with a broad variety of skills besides dev - e.g. docs, design, testing, project management, concept, user research, etc.
You‘ll make contacts, get to know the field and see what kind of work is a good fit. If you stick around long enough, you will become knowledgable and build up a resume you can use to apply for jobs – if you don‘t fall in love with open source and lose yourself in it completely. 😉
And video. Probably will take time.
Attend to local Bitcoin meetups and network with key organizers.
No luck yet 🤣, but perseverance and true conviction will be paramount 🫂🤙🏼
That’s my hope, just like Bitcoin is hope.
Don't give up when you hear no a few times. Stay focused and network as much as possible. Bonus: you will meet amazing people in the process 🧡
Offer to give your time and energy to provide value to a company in the Bitcoin space for free (i.e. volunteer). Think of it as an investment. Those you want to work with will get to know you, your skills, and whether you would be a good fit for the company. You'll come away with more experience, and you'll also know better whether you really want to work for them. It's how I got hired at NOAH, and it's at least 1000x better than simply sending in your resume.
Start Creating Value!
Start contributing to free and open source projects, level up your skills, network, stay humble, and stay true to yourself.

provide value to bitcoiners as a side hustle, don’t expect anything in exchange.
probably not being helpful or offering any “shortcut” but I genuinely think this to be the formula.
