I’m a little confused on the zapping. I set up an invoice for 100 sats thats (probably?) good for the day; do you always have yo specify the amount you want to receive/update the link if you want it over multiple days?

No that's a regular invoice and you set the amount. Zapping is by default 1000 sats and you change it in the settings, no invoice.
