I don’t understand why there is such a push for this. Optionality, sure. But a like is just a head nod or a “hey I read and appreciate your reply.” If it’s not feeding an algorithm I don’t see the problem.

I get value for value. But we don’t give people money in conversations in person, so why would we do it in a digital analog?
