I think the absence of algorithms should not be overlooked when it comes to the positivity of Nostr. The algos on Twitter seemed to optimize for negative and shocking content. Therefore people subconsciously knew that by posting negative content they would get more likes/retweets/follows.

The incentives are different here.

Exactly! I didn’t even realize how much I fell prey to the algo manipulation until I started spending more time here. I would get heated and engage in debate on the bird app over things I realize now that I don’t even care that much about.

Welcome to the future of communications 🤗

Once your eyes get opened to Nostr it’s really a no brainer. There’s so much life here. Maybe that’s the secret: social media should be as close to real life as possible. Not some metaverse fairy tale VR mess of shock content and ads. It should mirror true interactions.

Facts for sure 🤜🤛

This is the algo bleeding into real life. Pure evil. Straight up mental programming.

Totally true. Behavior is now acceptable that before social media would have been unthinkable.
