Alby no longer provides a Lightning node?
Alby provides a lightning node to every new user. New accounts are self-custodial.
I gotta check this when I get home, I chose to “upgrade” for their whole thing but I definitely think I missed some kind of setup step

There’s also a website that shows which nodes are the most connected, have the best uptime track record etc. I forget the website name but will post in thread when I find my bookmark

You can add more channels as you need them, and you have the option to close them as they fill up if you want to move back on-chain.

NGL, opening one channel for outbound liquidity will help, but I think I have to wait until payday and don’t overthink it.
