I'm thinking about reigning on the size of the garden this year to allow more time to do some other things. The last few years have ended with a decision to let it die because production was too much to keep up with anyway, even with killing off a large portion by accident last year. Half the set up is as low labor as it gets and half is traditional ground. Definitely decided to forgo ground this year. Still though, thinking back, the bulk of late season work comes from the production on the low labor side. I have no set plans for other things I would like to do but I would like to be able to make some without waste concern. 😅 On top of that, there's the whole, if you're not growing it, you're buying it thing. I still have stuff canned & froze but not a year's worth. Just kind of thinking aloud... the idea of being able to plan a trip or something sounds nice. I'm tired of trying to pack 5 days worth of "vacation" into 3 everytime I do anything. 😂
