Seems inevitable this will happen on nostr too. I don't see any kind of solution yet.
Relay and client side filtering I think is the only solution.
Yeah I think so too. Seems like there is a lot to sort out before that can be done in a transparent/effective way.
Agreed, unfortunately I think it'll fall on the free image hosts and clients to dispose of it. But all they'll need to do is build out their own relays/hosts and no one could do much, unless a Nostr version of the Fediblock begins where clients actively disallow their clients to connect to certain relays. Only way I see it making an impact.
First I'm hearing if fediblock. Do you know of any articles or videos about it? I'll take a look when I get to my desktop..
I suppose we'd better expect we'll be painted with that brush by the media regardless of the filters and other safety measures that are put in place.

Them being able to make their own relays is the inevitability of freedom. Freedom is always going to be had at the price of people using it ways that are distasteful and even disgusting. I suppose if enough people are bad enough maybe we don’t deserve freedom as a species. I don’t think that’s the case though.
