This is true but your metric on power use has no source and it's not measure of productivity which may in fact be stagnant or worse. Your power metric is very fishy.
How about data centers, Bitcoin mining, electric cars, people no longer working in offices.
We also use less gas because our cats are more fuel efficient to the point that states charge extra penalty taxes on fuel efficient vehicles because they get less in gas sales.
Finally, we know USD is no way to measure GDP because there is no denominator.
I agree GDP is nonsense but it is out there and to use the power metric I question that also.
