Some of us have been censored on Twitter. And then we see some people hate on Nostr. This is a natural response. When you compare the two, Nostr comes out ahead by a large margin, which amazes some of us.
I’m with you on this. There are many staunch / impassioned takes around here in the vein of us-vs-them.
I like the idea of championing what’s good and skipping the finger pointing part. Folks will shout freedom & sovereignty from a mountaintop while essentially saying “but don’t do ___ because I said so” in the same breath.
Outside of conflict being more interesting than high-fives only (movies need an antagonist for example), and the human tendency to bandwagon or pick a side (a la sports fandom)… I really don’t get it.
I don’t see anyone poo-pooing Damus on Twitter, but the reverse is true over here. This is odd.
My theory: it’s just part of the culture for peeps sharing an idyllic vision of the future. Which is mildly ironic? idk just musing. Happy Friday to all :)
