One of the few people who's profile I search for daily.
I looked but not seeing the big related news of today. Guessing some numbers came out looking strong.
Msty announced paying a $2.37 dividend per share today. That's like 10% per month. Averaging around 7% per month for over a year now which is wild.
Oh wow, that is pretty good. Quick maffs gives me 4.6% monthly for BTC, I think.
More or less 9.46% depending on what bitcoin’s price is on Friday
1 BTC gets you ~3,856 shares which would pay $9,154
Interesting. My calc was just 12-month change in price of BTC divided by 12, for above. Assume I got that close to right.

It all derives from Strategy. Watch old MSTR True North videos and early videos from the Quant Bros channel on YouTube. MSTR True North usually has a livestream on YouTube every Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST.
Listening to Strategy’s earning calls will help too, especially the last 3-4.
Once you really understand what Strategy is doing, you can read up on options trading and what that market is like for MSTR. And finally, you can look at the products YieldMax (MSTY) and Bitwise (IMST) are offering and what their value prop is.
It is not trivial to understand this stuff, which is why there is so much FUD from bitcoiners. The learning curve is not shallow.
And similar to Bitcoin, you won’t look into it unless you have a need to know.
In MSTY terms we can’t know 100% since we don’t know what the price will be on Friday, but if you assume a price of $25 then the yield for this distribution would be 9.5% (123.5% annualized)
As a function of bitcoin it varies depending on when you bought MSTY, but if you bought it the day it came out and didn’t reinvest anything back into MSTY then the yield in BTC terms is 6.2% (122.9% since inception) and if you DRIP the yield would be 14%
The average distribution (14 total so far) is $2.63/ share and the median is $2.35/share
