There are fewer of them. 50 million I think. Honestly, those people have a much better handle on the situation than a Twitter rando named Amy.

@Eimi_LTY @DrJessTaylor the EU has 500 million people and nowhere in any of those great civilized nations with a great standard of living is the age of consent higher than 16.

Historically that was the norm in the US too. It still is in many US states.

@Eimi_LTY @DrJessTaylor for 1000s of years Jews welcomed 13 year olds as adults in their community. so 14 and 15 year olds got married and started families. I don't think we should do that here now, but ffs let's acknowledge that puberty changes children into adults. Basic biology.
