Are mute words not effective enough? How do you get those events? Do they DM you directly?

Agree with Vitor, it's easy using "mute words" feature.
Example (common racial slur):
ni**a, ni**er
Poa.st is famous for being full of this people on mastodon so that's why I want to mute for myself everyone from there
