Personally i think it is better seperate as a stand alone event.
Discussion
Separate event and location but previous or consecutive day could be good, since the audience will be around.
I think either way could work but a stand alone event could appeal to a wider audience.
It really depends on what the intent behind the event is
If it's purple pilling normies, you're going to have to take a completely different tack.
If it's connecting with Nostriches & talking about local projects & initiatives, I don't think it matters.
Nostr & Bitcoin go hand in hand. I don't think enough Bitcoiners are paying attention to it & they should. The town square is moving (it's already moved for some of us).
Either way, no one needs to ask permission from anybody else to run a Nostralia event.
Agreed. I think it should be Nostr first, Bitcoin secondary. Perhaps, no Bitcoin emphasis at all, but an implied discussion as it relates to how lightning has been integrated.
Even as a Bitcoiner I know if we want to attract Normies to understand and appreciate the Nostr protocol as it allows open and uncensorable communication, the hardest "conversion" to Normies is a radical idea of finance.
Reel them in first on how Nostr can give them freedom of speech. Then later maybe they'll grasp how Bitcoin gives them the freedom to transact. An already tremendous amount of information to try and digest for someone new.
But I'm open to ideas on the direction and how to make a great conference in Aus.
