We need decentralised social media protocols like #nostr because there is no single man who could be pressured to impose censorship.
And we know that governments were and still are forcing censorship on social networks like Twitter and Facebook (Covid 'disinformation' is a prime example.). Fortunately, it won't be that simple with #nostr.
