The guy was active in the WWE fictions for years and is in the WWE hall of fame. He’s also a long-time reality TV star. Both of those industries are built on “works” which are fabricated storylines that make situations more entertaining and emotional.
He is also a compulsive liar.
From the outside looking in at his assassination, my gut screamed “this is a WWE style work.”
No damage to his ear and his cavalier behavior post-shooting continue to affirm my gut feel. I’m not saying it was staged but my instincts scream it was.

Same exact reaction I had. Like who does that? If someone is shooting at you your natural instinct is to get the hell outta there and get to safety. You don’t see soldiers in a war zone pumping their fist when they get shot at… Definitely was not a normal reaction to being shot at…
He had no way of knowing if the threat(s) were neutralized either. But he sure acted like he knew... Whole thing felt SO off. Yelling “fight!” with blood dripping down his face and pumping his fists. Full WWE.

So your base case is that Trump colluded to have a friendly shooter agree to shoot past his head, kill and injure several audience members, the shooter willing to die for this act, all to pump Trumps ratings? I’m all for being skeptical (especially given Trump’s background) but this is not first principled thinking.
The facts do not add up.
I did not present a base case but I don’t believe the “official” narrative.
You’re also assuming that these people (whoever they are), are not willing to sacrifice innocent lives to get what they want. Do you need a reminder of how many innocent lives died on 9/11? Were you that guy that told 9/11 conspiracy theorists that innocent lives died in those buildings? As if innocent lives dying somehow makes the story true.
Trump shooting/911 is like comparing apples and oranges. I think a closer comparison would be those who argued that a plane didn’t hit the Pentagon. Obviously incentives matter in both instances, but that is a longer deeper discussion.
In either case my only point was not to not be so open minded your brain falls out. It is good to be skeptical. I’m glad it isn’t your base case, and I will continue to be open minded myself as facts come out.
It is gonna be pretty hard to disprove that bullets didn’t graze his ear though when you have photos in real time taken at 60,000 FPS showing the bullet traveling past his ear.
I wasn’t comparing the trump shooting to 9/11. I was just giving an example of how innocent lives can be sacrificed.

And of course he is going to exaggerate that his ear was “blown off.” It is Trump, and he only cares about the optics and his ego. Explains why he raised his fist too. He is a showman, and was not going to let that moment go to waste.
