Texas.
Been and lived all over. West coast, Midwest, east coastā¦
Everyone has different preferences but for us, nothing has beat Texas. Amazing place to lay down roots.

What city or town? Want to research a bit. Thx.
We are about 40 min west of Austin - would check out Dripping Springs, Marble Falls, Spicewood - those areas. Itās like country living-light lol. No light pollution so you can see the stars, got land, close to outdoor stuff, super safeā¦but are close enough to things you need and Austin if you want to go into the city. Feel like itās a good spot!
Thank you.
Austin is really amazing if you're outdoorsy and like swimming in the summer to escape scorching heat from June until mid-October.
The avg home price/avg salary ratio is 9 in Austin (similar to some West Coast cities) versus 2.5 in San Antonio and 4.5 in Dallas. Houston is somewhere on the affordability scale between San Antonio and Dallas.
Texas has a way of growing on you.
Agree! Moved to San Antonio in 2016 and lived there up until moving a bit north and it's grown on us quite a bit...going to miss the Mexican food here...
